This year I asked around for old lenses among friends and family. A good friend said, “I have this new in the box lens sitting on the shelf. I’ll bring it along so you can see if it’ll work for you.” We got together and I found the Telesar Auto 135mm 1:2.8 Lens to be a solidly built lovely bit of kit. It’s no where near a close up lens, I find myself standing over 6 feet away in order to be able to focus in on the subject. But it also features a very precise focusing ring. Here’s a couple of shots I took with it earlier today.
As you can see, nailing the focus can be tough. I need to check the diopter on the camera and see if I can tweak it a bit and improve my focusing technique as well. The images are a bit soft – but that bokeh is pretty nice anyway!
